Grrr. It's the 500. Looks like I'll be returning this to Best Buy and they will be getting an ear-full about misleading ad copy. Thanks for your help!

Yeah, the RAM with that is soldered in. Now, supposedly there may eventually be an ability to replace it, but it wouldn't be easy.

Yup, it's a "2 in 1" processor/memory card. After reading your post Anguish I looked it up in the Dell documentation and not only do you have to completely dismantle the unit you have to replace the processor and ram with another one of those 2 in 1 cards.

I ended up returning the unit to Best Buy for a full refund. They seemed concerned that I was unhappy with my purchased but not concerned enough to tell somebody that their ad text was wrong.

There's a reason I don't shop at Best Buy any more, except in extreme circumstances.

You guys remember when BestBuy had a different web server to show price in the store that were different from what people would see online? They got busted and fined big time. That place is a joke and waste of money.

Yup. Unfortunately with COmpUSA gone it's the only game in town for me in my area. I either drive 30 miles to a Frys or order online. It's nice to be able to see something and play with it before purchasing.

Heh.. I'd drive the 30 miles to Fry's, that's how much I hate Best Buy.

You guys don't get Amazon.com on your browsers? (or in this case, Dell.com?)
