Default mini 10v upgrade - 09-01-2014, 02:07 AM

Ordered 2g ram upgrade from c&h. Installed it. Booted fine, my computer showed 2g ram. Tried ie, I have also upgraded to windows 7, and system went down. Tried startup repair twice, no luck. Reinstalled old 1g stick, all ok. Do I need to upgrade bios. Am aware of how to do it from windows, just don't want to brick the thing. Help

My Mini 10v only accepts 1 GB of RAM. Stick with your original dimm.

The Mini 10V supports up to 2GB in a single stick.

It needs to be DDR2-533 up to DDR-800. It won't used the extra speed of the 800 but it will work.

Perhaps try a different stick of RAM?
