Default Volume Erase Failed with the Error: Could Not Modify partition map - 04-03-2012, 02:18 AM

Well I was on the last step of Oscar's guide to installing Mac OSX after Windows was installed.(Start with Windows, Add OS X- Guide to Dual Boot.) I used Windows 7. I made it all the way to the point where I have to reformat the MacOS partition and I get that error (topic title) I've tried going under disk utility on the boot usb and fix it, but It keeps giving me this error. I'd really hate to start this whole thing over, can someone please help?
