Default Install Mac OS X 10.6 on 10v through disc? - 04-01-2012, 10:43 PM

I just burned a copy of my sisters retail snow leopard disc. Can I install it to my Dell Mini 10v through an external disc drive, or do I HAVE to use a USB stick?

You can install from an external DVD reader. But you should buy your own copy of OS X.

Looks like I need to go the USB route anyway, as my drive doesn't want to read the dual layer disc (both my sisters legit and my copy). Looks like I got some work to do. Thankfully I can buy the disc for under $30 on ebay.
