Default Dell Mini 10v Thermal Pad - 03-11-2012, 07:52 PM

Does anyone know the thickness of the standard thermal pad used in these netbooks?
Im thinking of replacing them with a Copper Shim with either a pad or paste.
Im guessing 1.2mm??

I recently had my 10v open and 1mm-1.2mm seems about right, the copper shim is going to have to fit pretty perfect though, the metal bezel over the chip seems to be what transfers the heat through the thermal pad and is shaped to fit the chip. Once you open it up and take a look you will understand better.
