I am running 32bit, I wouldnt bother with the 64bit with only 2gb of RAM, 64bit should be run with at least 2.5 to 4gb to run properly, dont get me wrong, it will run with 2gb but you wont get the best performance and besides the ATOM z530 processor is only 32bit

The lump at the back is the battery. I have it on my Mini 9 too & have learned to live with it. It really only bothered me the first couple days.

I've decided to give win7 a go, I've been stuck on xp for a while now I guess!

Its not the dell pink? Do you think it may have been painted before?

As for the battery thanks for clearing it up. I'll learn to live with it! If its a cheap chinese battery I may replace it at some stage...

Well long story short, the laptop never turned up, purchased a new m301z instead (moving to oz in 10 days)
