Default How can I remove the lid/cover? - 09-25-2011, 12:23 PM

Hi.

I acquired my daughters Nick Mini10v the other day and bought the RAM upgrade. I may be getting into that today.

I also am going to paint it since I'll have it down. I am not concerned with the painting part of it.

What I would like to know is how might I get the top cover/Dell logo'd green and white slimed print off of the back of the display? I call myself looking hi and low for the answer but I must not know exactly what the piece is called.

Does it just pop off? I pried just a little and stopped in case there was another trick.

Should I just tape it off?

Once again, hello and thanks for the great info I know I can get here.

What I mean is if I should use tape to tape off the areas on the netbook that I do not want painted so I can paint the lid. Or can the lid be removed off the back of the display?

I did find a similar article and after taking it down as far as I could, I had to tape off a lot anyway. It is drying now. Hopefully, I'll be getting it back together in a few hours.

I'll try to post a picture this week.
