Default 10v WWAN PCI-E slot added successfully ! - 07-31-2011, 11:22 AM

The good news is yes you san solder on a WWAN PCI-E socket on the mini 10v (1011) , I have reverse engineered the jumper needed to enable it, I have tested using the dell GPS module. I can post some pics with an explanation, If an ADMIN could tell me the appropriate place. thanks
I have seen where some people have soldered on the socket, and this sould be an easy mod for them to enable it

nobody said you were spamming the board Joe........but some people do come on here and post useless comments just to increase their post count..I am not saying that you are doing that but it has been done on here in the past so that people can place 'For Sale' items which require a minimum of 5 postings........sorry if you took that the wrong way....

Joe, is there a possibility that the Broadcom video card might work in your new WWAN PCI-E slot?

I would say no it is a USB PCI-E slot, but you may find a USB based PCI-E wireless card to work in there and free up the halfcard slot the current wireless card occupies.

Hope you get those photos posted. I've seen the same mod somewhere, but it was WAY TOO much for the average solderer. USB pci-e wireless cards are out there, and broadcom crystal hd is great.
