My mod assumes you have the second slot or have soldered the second slot on the motherboard, and your right not for the average tinkerer. I have made a PDF with instruction and pics , anyone interested may PM me for the PDF.

also I have 3 new old lid's ,LCD covers 2 from a 1010 ,and 1 from a 1011 i Am researching the antenna's on them , now i have a need for more ,namely the GPS ant
I get a position witout one but the satellite signals are weak

Quick FYI the 10v lcd bezel cleanly snaps into a 1010 lid, and anybody know of the antenna varitations ? I will assemble a few pics of the 3 I have , fisrt quick look shows the 10v lid 2 antennas ,1 1010 lid with 3 one appears to be a tv antenna has Hauppauge on it which is a tv card man. , the 3rd lid has 5 antenna's on it !.

Total bummer. I was hoping to get the broadcom card working without having to tinker too much with the system setup.

EDIT: Didn't realize the BCM970012 was bigger in size than the BCM970015. I think this might actually be worth a try.

Joe, are you able to post the pictures of the your modifications?
