Default DW1510 half mini card - 06-08-2011, 09:37 PM

Hey guys. I installed 2gb upgrade and BT this morning and now it is not finding my DW1510 card. I tried downloading the drivers from Dell's website, but when the Dell WLAN utility begins its install, it says that no supported hardware exists on the system and cancels. Everything was in working order before the install. I have checked and recheck to make sure the card is correctly seated. It also gets super hot to. Any ideas? Do I need to replace it? If so what would be the replacement? Thanks in advance!

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate.

1. Is Wireless enabled in the BIOS?

2. Have you re-installed the Wi-Fi Radio enable/disable utility?

3. What does it show in Device Manager?

Did you ever find a cause/solution to your problem?

I did exactly the same as you and got the same result. The 1510 (WLAN) is no longer detected.

Thanks for the sudden reply. I'm glad you got it solved. But it sure is strange, though, that we would both have an identical problem after performing an identical procedure.

The only thing I can figure is it must have been an unnoticed ESD (electrostatic discharge).

FYI: Any type of internal repairs should ALWAYS be done with a static cuff on, goes on your wrist and the other end clips to a ground.....then you are safe, I have been doing computer repairs for over 20 years and have never done one without the cuff on and I am yet to blow up a board....just my 0.02
