well with the 1010's the processor is soldered on the daughter board I guess the 1011 is the same, but finding a daughter board is tough not to mention the last time I checked they were about $300, but that was for the 1010 which has the memory soldered on also, the 1011 doesnt so maybe it would be cheaper but I doubt it the only viable upgrade for the 1011 is RAM 1gb--->2gb thats about it.....

Even if you desoldered the CPU there are no physically and electrically compatible dual-core CPUs you could replace it with. The dual-core Atoms work only with different chipsets and have different pin patterns. On the 10v, the CPU is soldered to the mainboard, not a daugterboard as in the 1010. So forget about upgrading the processor.
The best speedup would be to replace the hard drive with a decent SSD. That can make a remarkable difference.

I was playing with a copy of lion yesterday to see if i could get it running on the mini 10v, no joy with that, but I did manage to boot it successfully on an old mac mini which has a core solo t1200 processor (single core 32bit) in it.
I was using a copy of lion developer ver 2, it was simply a case of installing on an external drive using a 64bit system and then removing 1 file from the /system/core services directory
It's only a matter of time until somebody works out what is stopping the mini 10v from running lion
Hope this helps guys

meklort/NBI are moving this way to support different CPUs for Lion. No mention of 32-bit however.
