Default OS X lion? - 02-25-2011, 01:01 PM

Anyone who has access to the beta of Lion is it working on the 10v right after it gets installed via the Mac App Store?

I think Lion will never run on mini 10v because it only boots on 64 bit processors and the atom is not 64bit

Rather, the Atom in the 10v is not 64-bit. Those in the 1012 and later are.

There has been some videos of it in use on macbooks on the web. But apple have had them withdrawn due to copyright issues. Not seen any hackintosh ones yet.

Hi,

I don`t know how true it is but i have heard that their is a patch being developed by Meklort for OSX Lion 10.7 to run on a Dell 10v, apparently it`s a 32bit patch but again i don`t know how true this is. Anyone else heard about this?

Cheers,

I didn't tried OS X Lion yet, but it might work on the 10v.
What's particularly irritating is Apple's policy, which consists of artificially making your device obsolete, in spite of its ability to make a new OS running. This has been hiterto reserved for the iPhones, and some days ago, I discovered that you can make Lion run on former Core Duo powered Macs (different from Core 2 Duo), which processors are nearly the same as the N270 (to wit, 1 core and two threads):

I'm currently working on making a bootable version for dell mini's so far I have found a way to turn off the 64-bit requirement for lion. And currently I have booted the drive up to get to the installer screen. If I can make the installer file not search for internet or the CoreWLANKit, I might be able to get through the install. My testing has been editing DP1 and transferring files from the Snow Leo install to get it to boot. I'm going to try using Lion GM and see if there is a difference
