There's not a ton of options to improve playback on netbooks.
Better software would be the number 1 choice. I think iTunes is a bit heavy for netbooks. Other software, like VLC, may be faster (but it won't be able to play DRM'ed iTunes files).
Adding a Broadcom Crystal decoder card is the other option. But I dunno about support in whatever OS and software you're using. In particular, I dunno about iTunes.
And on a 10v, the Broadcom card might require giving up your internal WiFi and using a USB WiFi adapter. (I dunno what slots a 10v normally has inside).
Furthermore, the Broadcom Crystal card ain't cheap or widely available in either revision (older 70012 or newer 70015). I think you'd need the half-height version, if you plan to put it in a 10v's WiFi slot.
