Default Broadcom Crystal HD - 12-04-2010, 09:06 PM

Well, I found a link here for a broadcom hd half-card. I removed my wifi, and it works brilliantly. No more stuttering video. I just have to figure out a way to get wi-fi now. Anyway it was on sale $15.00 cheaper than now, but cool. Here's the link again:Logic Supply - Leaders in Mini-ITX & Small Form Factor Solutions.
Any and all wi-fi ideas welcome! thx, johnm

with the USB wi-fi you wont cook your mobo either.......unless you are REALLY good in soldering I wouldnt even attempt it, why bother when there is an easier way?

Well, I took your advice rrfranczak3, gonna try a usb adapter. I've soldered before and had successes and failures. I MIGHT have tried soldering if I could have found a tutorial, but couldn't.

As far as I know, the Broadcom card accelerates MPEG4 playback, not Flash.

Do you think it would give you higher screen resolution?

NO, definitely not, the screen is what it is.....no more...no less, if it isn't 1366x768 HD it isn't going to become *poof* 1366x768 HD, the only way to get HD is to buy a better screen

Most modern Flash video is some variant of MPEG4, and with the right version of Flash you should see hardware acceleration.
