Hey guys, I'm attempting to overclock my Dell Mini 10v. As a preface to this, before you post, understand that I have already read countless threads on overclocking the 10v and I understand that it has yet to be done. Please don't post telling me to use the search bar or rant about how overclocking the 10v is useless, risky, etc. I understand this, I do not care, I am set on overclocking this no matter what you have to say to the contrary. I am currently having an email conversation with the maker of SetFSB because I donated to him to get an activation key for the new Shareware version of SetFSB.
Upon searching I found that people said the Clock Generator was "
ICS9LPRS387BKLF".
However, the maker of SetFSB seems to disagree with that statement. His response was:
Quote:
Hmm..., The clock generator is SLGxxxx. (not ICS9LPRS387BKLF) But, I can not understand the clock generator name. It is very difficult without the clock generator name. About the clock generator name Could you examine the motherboard? IC near quartz vibrator(14.318MHz, Argent metal casing or Black resin package) |
I was wondering if anyone knew a little more about the 10v than I, which I'm sure is a definite on this forum. I told him physically examining the motherboard would be quite a pain, but if it came down to It I would take this netbook apart (did it already for RAM upgrade, whatta pain).
If anyone can help me answer these questions, then Abo (The creator of SetFSB) will enable SetFSB to overclock the 10v.
*note: I upgraded from the N270 to the N280, not sure how much of a difference that will make.
