I haven't actually checked it yet, I can time it and let you know for sure. The only things that load at my startup are Kaspersky Internet Security 2011, Bluetooth, Intel graphics media accelerator, and Smart Battery. I have turned all other programs off at startup. BTW, I have Office 2010, Itunes 10, Adobe Acrobat Pro 2009, and AutoCAD 2011 among other stuff. They all seem to work well.
I can honestly say that I do notice a difference in the way things load and how long it takes including internet pages. I am happy with the switch. I just keep in mind it is a small underpowered netbook. They are not high performance the way my big gamer desktop is. Once you accept it for what it is, then things don't seem so bad, LOL

ok, officially from when I see the Dell logo until booted up and all tray icons loaded was 1 min and 3 seconds. Hope it helps
