Hi everyone, This is my first post. I followed the guide on Downgrade your Mini 10v BIOS to A04 (Requires Windows) because the netbook said it couldn't identify the battery. It was working and making the beeping sounds when suddenly it makes a strange noise and the screen goes to black. It is completely bricked now, doesn't even start. I don't have an external floppy drive so I can't use this guide. Any thoughts on what I can do to fix this issue? Thanks. |

if you can get into the BIOS you can use a USB flashdrive..just set the boot device to "Legacy USB"..you can also search on this forum to see what others have done..there is a procedure for unbricking posted somewhere..I have a 1010 and have never screwed with anything but popping in a larger HD there is a newer BIOS for my machine but I refuse to install and screw around with it the only benefit would be for the WWAN which I dont have anyway...Good Luck... If you don't mind spent $15.00 you can get it back. order an USB drive from Ebay and Follow this link in this forum. How to unbrick a Mini 10v using a floppy drive! - 02-03-2010, 09:46 PM - 07-28-2010, 04:48 AM I made my 10V back to work. It is better to throw your 10V into Junk Yard. |
