Default Dual Monitor Capable? - 04-26-2010, 06:02 PM

I hooked up a second monitor to the VGA port, but it doesn't recognize it...
Assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks, ahead!

Default I do not understand your answer! - 04-28-2010, 01:50 AM

I have found a few forum entries that give paths to success, and one of them, the only one tried so far, was successful in providing me a large screen display from the external VGA port.
So why did you comment - "not supported" ?

You're using OSX? I'm afraid I can't help you there.

The 10v hardware should be capable of running multiple monitors, but there might be some limitations (I think total desktop size might be limited to 2048x2048 on the GMA950).

I was runing 2 monitors on off my Dell Mini 9 Hackint0sh one using the external port, and the 2nd using a EVGA USB to DVI Adapter. You could try that.

Sorry - I misunderstood. An external monitor is supported. "Dual monitors" (two external monitors) are not.

I am running into the same issue, can you post a link to these forum entries?

OS X users have reported issues with the VGA port - go look in the Mac OS section of this forum for more information.

This works:
open a terminal window
type /extra/bin/mirroring off - (do not hit enter yet)
plug into the vga port, and hit enter.
Works like a charm everytime.
I have not tried the others, because I lost my notes (paper) for the threads.
