Default DDR2-800, will it work on Mini 10v? - 04-13-2010, 07:04 AM

My question is simple:

I am thinking about upgrading to 2GB on my Mini 10v. My questions are:

1. Will I notice the difference under 10.6.3? It runs quite smoothly under 1GB, and I really do only use it for internet use, and watching movie files.

2. I know my Mini 10v has a 1GB 533Mhz module installed, if I replace it with a 2GB 800Mhz, will the new module automatically underclock?

I generally recommend the 2GB upgrade. I don't know how well OS X makes use of it, but Windows certainly improves.

Yes, if you install 800MHz memory it will run at 533.
