Default Can you use a Corsair PC2- 5300 On a 10v as opposed to the 6400s - 03-11-2010, 01:03 AM

Can you use a PC2-5300 chip on a 10v? Does anyone know?..I have this 2GB pc2 5300 from my Acer Netbook....

Yes, that will be fine. You can even use a PC2-4200.

Any PC2-4200 or faster RAM should work at the same speed, PC2-4200.

As for a specific example, I upgraded from 512MiB of PC2-6400 RAM to 2GiB of PC2-5300 RAM on my Mini 9, which is very similar to the 10v.

Mini 1012 | SSD | Intel 6200 Wifi | Ubuntu 11.10 64bit
