Default Battery Life OS X vs Windows 7 - 03-01-2010, 07:02 AM

I was wondering if anyone else gets significantly different battery life on Windows 7 and OS X. I'm actually somewhat discouraged from using OS X because I get only about 2-2.5 hours, where as with Windows 7 I'm getting closer to 3 on average (10v with 3 cell). Is there anyway to make OS X a little lighter on the battery usage?

I don't know if you can get longer life running OSX, I have read that it is significantly less than 7...get a 6 cell, it's well worth it...6 hrs of untethered internet

Mini 10v (Black) - BIOS A06 - Mac OS X 10.6.0 - 1GB RAM - 320GB HDD (7200 rpm) - NBM via USB - NBI (ending with 51) - Legacy Off

Had a happy 10.6.6 machine and updated to 10.6.7, but no love...maybe I'll do a vanilla install...but probably not.

I'm seeing similar figures to jube, have a 3 cell battery and have windows 7 and osx dual booting. I read the speedstep hack for osx may help but I havent got round to trying it as yet
