Nope! But they do conduct it away from the CPU. Use CPU-i to see what the temp is.

Reminds me of a satellite component design snafu long ago. Components were potted in non-conductive epoxy by mistake. Box was very cool to the touch -- while the internal parts melted. Oops!

Maybe the heat problem is the reason my 10v showed up in the refurbished dept. It has been opened before, I could see fingerprints and there are also suspicious dents on the keyboard frame. Gawd, I hate RAs. Thanks for your help, BTW.

A little side track here, but did you weld that together yourself? Cause those are rather nice welds.... All and all a nice stand too

Uh, hey thanks! I got this welding machine for Christmas (amazing how you get exactly the stuff you wished for if you get it for yourself ) and now love to weld aluminum. Have to learn a ton to really get it right, but that's fun, too.

I hooked it up to the 5V of a USB port. It's a 12V fan, but it moves plenty of air at 5V. At home I hook it up to a 5V power supply left over from a dead bluetooth headset.
