I'd like to get more eyeballs on an issue discussed in this thread, posts #1 and #8.
mydellmini.com/forum/beginners-questions/18245-10v-display-cut-off-bottom-1024x768-help.html
To summarize everything in one place, the display seems to think its native resolution is 1024x768 instead of 1024x600. This results in the bottom 168 pixels being cut off in the bootup screen, bios, bootloader, and Win7. OSX ends up at a black screen instead of desktop.
In windows, the only available resolutions are 1024x768 and a similarly-cropped 800x600.
The OP in the original thread says that it happened spontaneously, and in my case thr problem started immediately after a memory upgrade.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
