So is it bad that my temp according to iStat is about 70 degrees C? All i have open is iChat and safari and I'm only talking to one person on iChat... could it be because my mini is kind of in a cubby-like area underneath the 2nd tier of my desk where my monitor is, maybe I should think about getting a cooling pad?

The intel specs say up to 90 C is operational, so does dell. The intel spec also says silicone meltdown begins @ 125C. All you can do is use a cooler pad fan. If you experience above 90C and have warranty left call dell. They told me on two seperate calls on heat that if I experienced over 90C they'd check it out. I called twice to get the policy on return for heat problems from two different agents, plus I have the transcripts to prove what they advised.

all is well with the computer after upgrade, except its running at 80 C now, the computer is like in this little cubby area underneath the shelf that has my monitor on it, and it gets a lot of heat from my desktop which spits out quite a lot of hot air. I will have to try moving the laptop to a little more circulated area and see how the temp is after.
