I don't know if it's fake or not, but it doesn't sound like the lad in the video really knows what he's talking about.

Edit: Actually, I lied, I do know it's fake. Well, maybe not fake, but it's not something that would work with a mini 10v with JUST that driver.

Running that same driver in Windows 7 on my 10v, no option for 1182x854.

I installed the driver and it worked just fine. If you like horribly squished rectangular windows, then this is for you. I couldn't handle my desktop in 1024x768 or 1152x864. It just looked weird. It's like they took a 4:3 movie and made it fit a 16:9 screen.

Hmm... strange that it worked for you. I wonder if this wasn't just a minor revision to the driver. Perhaps there are more modes this display is capable of, even though I'm sure this is already pushing it.

Here were my steps. I downloaded and installed the 8.15.10.1912 version of the driver and rebooted when it prompted me. After everything loaded up, I right-clicked on the desktop and selected Screen resolution. Two more options were available in the Resolution drop-down menu and they ended up not looking very good on my screen. I don't know if there's a way to squish the horizontal in VLC and/or MediaPlayer Classic, but I couldn't take the new resolutions as an option on the 10v.

Well I hadn't downloaded the driver that was linked, I just looked in Device Manager and the version number was the same, so I just figured it'd be the same driver. Then again, mine is the driver for the 945, as opposed to the 950, perhaps that's the difference there.

I'm thinking that was a special driver for the Samsung that happened to work on the 950 chips. Much like a special version of Google Chrome was provided to Dell. I'm sure the chips have greater capability, but you can only make your best mule go so much faster. It'll never win the Kentucky Derby.
