I have the 1010 with 1366x768 display. I could try to install Windows 7 on the drive again connected to my desktop computer.

I also purchased a 40GB Intel SSD drive but have yet to try it yet as my Mini 10v comes in on Wednesday.

So, I take it, it will never work? I should just return the unopened drive? Kinda sad that the whole point of getting the drive was for my new Mini lol.

I think I would give it a try. If you had a mini 1010, I would strongly recommend you to return unopened.

A small update. I just called Dell support regarding this SSD problem and the guy on the phone couldn't help me because the Intel SSD is third-party device that wasn't delivered with the Mini (great). I asked him for a tip, and he told me to partition the SSD connected to a different computer. Which I've already have done without luck.

Maybe you get bluescreen because of intel ssd firmware with trim support. I run into problem with an ocz ssd because of using trim firmware. The other firmware without trim works ok and doesn't give me a bluescreen.

Hope that helps.

Bye Bye. Zero

Thanks I will take a look at that. Don't think it's going to be easy to find an older firmware, especially not to downgrade.

Have made a thread over at Dell's site. Don't think I will get the answer but it's worth a try.
