Default What is the 10v's reason for existence? - 01-14-2010, 03:08 AM

I was just wondering to myself why the 10v exists... I mean there's already a Mini 10... why have 2 10in netbooks? Which then led me to wonder given the 1012 is now out, will the 10v go away soon?

Just wondering.

I expect the new 10 to replace the 10v, since the new 10 is essentially 10v with a slight bump in specs.

And you're right that there's alot of overlap/confusion between Dell's various 10 inch netbooks. Typical Dell behavior. I like Dell, but they can be incredibly disorganized at times.

The 10v was the replacement for the 9 as the "value" model. The 10 (1010) was initially intended as a media-centric device and came first. The 1012 will replace both.
