I would love to be proven wrong, as my WD Blue HDD is a very loud seeker/clicker and i have not been able to get HDAPM to work on a Dell Mini 10v with 10.6.2, and I am pretty good with the setup of HDAMP...I was using it in a pre-Snow Leopard MacBook...

Edit: After a bunch of reading I did find one guy using Snow Leopard who claimed he wrote a script forcing "hdapm disk0 max" and added it to his login items and it worked, so maybe someone here can play with that. It would be great to find the solution to this. Thanks a lot Apple, we were waiting for Snow Leopard to fix this known problem, not block the known fix!
