Default 10v Freezes Due To Overheating - 01-07-2010, 03:49 AM

I've only noticed this recently that my Mini overheats and freezes. I upgraded the ram to 2GB when I first got it, but it was fine until I moved out of the country. I moved from Hawaii to Dominica where it is slightly more humid. I'm not sure if the climate has any effect.

It is very irritating and I was wondering if this is a semi-common problem.

The overheating is deff. due to the 2gb BUT it shouldnt be to the extent where it freezes. Are you covering the bottom when using it? The 10v does not have a fan and when you upgrade to 2gb it makes it a lot hotter a lot faster, if you are covering the vents at the bottem that is your problem because all the heat gets trapped inside and overheats your cpu. if you are covering it i suggest you keep the vents open while using it or you can cause permanent damage to it. Any ?s just PM me
