Anyone think the 1012 keyboard would be swapable to the 10v/10? I like how the spacing and overall look is on the newer dell mini 10s.


Also how about a trackpad swap?

there is a whole sub-topic for the 1012 now, and I think that its pretty early too tell what is swapable and what is not being as where no one even has one yet...nobody even knows whether or not its hackintoshable..maybe give it a couple of days before we start getting some feedback from actual owners....

Not to mention that all of the options for the 1012 are even available from Dell yet, I think that the 6cell battery is the only option and you have to get it with Win 7 to get that..

Bump Now that the trackpad is improved, would it be possible to do the full swap if i were able to get my hands on a 1018 keyboard + trackpad assembly?

Going to have to give this a bump because I'm curious as to giving the 10v chiclet type of keys and such.

I dont think that they are compatible.....due to the layout of the later 1012's and 1018's switching with 10v I dont think would be possible physically, not to mention the fact that the cables for the keyboard and the motherboard connections are certainly different..also they have different trackpads, different sizes...etc...they may look almost the same but I guarantee when you go to bolt them up...it aint gonna work
