Well, it's nice that the 10v can run MacOS. My oldest son is into "Mac", and boasts he uses NO Microcrap Software. (But, he does have Windows Vista AND XP running as "Tasks". Apparently, he can shift in and out of either, and BOTH have full access to the hardware!) Because he needs them out in the "Field".
My concern would be.. Is the Dell hardware getting the MOST out of Leopard OS? Apple designs their hardware to multi-task, and be proprietary FOR the MacOS. I've read about horror stories that some people couldn't get the sound working. Another issue was a person couldn't get the touchpad OR the camera working.. WORSE!! More than one guy was having trouble getting the "wireless" to work!!
I'd like to see some "success" stories from people that are running "Heavy Duty" Graphic or Sound programs with any luck. It seems that people can run Open Office ok with it, and of course, Safari and Firefox browsers.
My son bought a new Mac notebook (Don't ask what model, I have no idea about Macs). But, he gave me the "Demo" and how he could "Task Switch" to and from Windows.. (He had Vista AND WinXP-sp3 on it!) I must admit, I was *very* impressed. But, for almost $2000.00 I had BETTER be impressed!
I guess my point is.. Will the Mini 10v just merely *run* the MacOS, or is it REALLY useful to do so. Let me hear!! Who's running what, and how does it "perform"?
Thanks, and good luck!
