Default Illuminated Keyboard... - 12-15-2009, 12:32 AM

Wouldn't it be cool if a company built aftermarket illuminated keyboards for laptops.

i'd buy one for my mini 10v in a second, I really wish I didn't have to tilt the netbook up and squint to see the keys in dark light with only the backlight of the lcd screen.

and if dell offered it for an option, i'd pay 30 dollars extra for one

You would also have to replace all the keycaps with ones that have translucent legends.

Maybe some nice glow in the dark vinyl stickers for the F and Number keys?

I'd be happy with just some bumps on the number keys, I have a hard time finding the center when Im trying to type in my passwords for certain sites at night.

i'd hate stickers, they peel off. maybe I'll get a microscope and a dremel tool with the smallest bit ever, and then hollow out all the letters, and then put little oled lights under the keys and solder them together, and then somehow connect them all to the power line on the keyboard.

I think that's the only way I will ever get an illuminated keyboard for my computer.

Hey figure out how to take the plastic screen bezel off first, then let me know so I can replace it with the mini 10 version
