I would recommend Windows 7 Home Premium with at least 160GB hard drive - more if you want to carry a large music and video library with you.
In the UK you can only buy the Mini 10v with Windows 7 Starter which is a bit limited so my advice would be to buy the base 8GB SSD model with Ubuntu and to fit your own hard drive and install Win 7 HP. You can sell your SSD for almost the same price as a new 320GB hard drive and use your savings to pick up a copy of Win 7 - you should be able to find it for £35 or so:

Cheers guys. I've been looking around on youtube and random google'd reviews of the Mini 10v and some people say that it runs OSX faster than Win7. If thats true i might have to try it out and learn how to use osx.
Just checked the Dell UK website and it lists the Mini 10v with the 160gb hdd and Windows XP for £229. (i'd probably just burn an image of win xp as a backup and install Win7 or OSX)
and thank you again for the replies
I see in you sig area you have 4 Minis listed (2x 10v, 10 and a 12)
just wondering what you use them all for?
