Default AC Adapter dead - 11-21-2009, 04:01 AM

Well, got home today and the light was dead on it and it wasnt drawing a charge.

Got done chatting with Dell and apparently I need to ship the whole computer to them with the AC adapter. Not sure how this could be a motherboard issue since I tried the adapter in multiple outlets and told the chat person that.

Why they couldnt just send me a replacement is a bit odd.

it could be because if the AC adapter shorted out it may have damaged the motherboard, this could be caused by a spike or surge in the should ALWAYS have ANY power adapter for a PC desktop or laptop plugged into a surge protector or UPS, in my case my 2 servers are in a UPS so they NEVER go down and ANYTIME I plug in my Mini or HP bigscreen laptop they are in a surge protector.....
