Default using ext usb dvd rom to install osx 10.6? - 11-15-2009, 08:40 PM

For some reason, I am having issue to transfer the OSX DVD to my flash drive....either using the Windows or Linux method, after ripping the OSX DVD, I only have about 6.2GB in my 8GB flash drive.....I am thinking using an external dvd rom to install on my mini instead. Have anyone try using a external dvd install instead of using the usb flash drive method?

Yes I did mine that way and it worked flawlessly. The link to the guide can be found here NetbookInstaller 3: Installation via External DVD Drive using NetbookCD | Guides | OS X | mechdrew
