Default Mini 10v - OSX version question? - 11-04-2009, 08:23 PM

Hi guys,

Just got my Mini 10v, planning to do the OSX install soon. But I am a PC & Ubuntu Mac at home...but my friend has a Mac pro. Question is...people have posted that the new 10.6.1 OSX "upgrade disc" is the same as "retail" version when we restore it onto USB if my friend MAC OSX is 10.5.8...can I use the 10.6.1 upgrade disc to do the OS image? Or if his Mac pro OSX is already I still need the disc to do the OS restore?

Yeah, you really should pony up for your own copy of SL to promote the further development of it (or, the flip side, because piracy = bad). That means getting a disc of your own in hand for working at your buddy's machine.
