Windows needs drivers but will automagically download them for Win 7. Not sure how that sort of thing works with XP. OS X has drivers for the airport card, which is basically an Apple branded Broadcom card. So it will happily run any Broadcom chipset card it finds, although it seems that OS X works better when it thinks its an airport card.

I didn't... the card was recognised at first boot up.

It just asked me for my wireless security code, and away it went!

One minor thing, I did a wireless card 1510 search on the Dell site and they actually list 4 cards that all have the same manufacturer number but different Dell product numbers. They look identical to me but do list them for different machines. Is any one of them not correct? The Dell product numbers are: 430-3127, 430-3167, 430-3133, and 430-3130. But like I said they all list the manufacturer number of W750F. I'd rather spend the few dollars more and make sure I get the right one off the Dell site than take a chance with ebay.

Hello I have owned my Dell Mini 10v for about a year now and absolutely love it. I am dual booting windows xp sp3 and Ubuntu 9.10. I was thinking of purchising the Dell 1510 Mini Card along with a N router. I have two questions. One is would the card be compatible with Ubuntu and the second is what type of N router would you suggest? What I want from this is a stronger signal in my house and a faster connection to my Mini 10v.

I recently purchased a Dell Mini 10V from ebay (the seller was currys_pcworld from the UK. PLEASE STAY AWAY OF THIS STORES!!!) They sent me the netbook with the wireless card (DW1397) DEAD.Now they tell me to BUY a USB dongle !!!!! At least SUPER UN-PROFESSIONAL!!!

So, I will buy a new wireless card. I installed Mac OS X and I need wireless-n. Which internal card can I buy? I want it to be 100% compatible with Mac OS X.
