Default any rhyme or reason what devices will boot the 10v? - 10-28-2009, 02:53 AM

I put the ubuntu 9.04 netbook remix on a usb hard drive, usb memory stick, and SD card. The SD card was mounted both directly and via a usb adapter.

No boot! Not with any of them?

Is there rhyme or reason to which devices will boot the Mini 10v?

If you properly installed Ubuntu 9.04 to a usb stick, it should boot. Just make sure you have the bios settings correct to enable boot from usb. Then press f12 immediately after turning on your mini10v and select boot option for usb.

Thats not even provided. Still, I'm fairly certain that the stick was set up properly.

If you aren't presented with the option to boot from USB, then you probably have "USB Legacy" turned off in the BIOS -- it needs to be on...
