Default Hello! - 10-23-2009, 09:52 PM

Well I am new to this website which is probably pretty obvious and I just got a Mini10v N280 1gb. Anyways...

So im trying to mod this "beast"

-get gps internally mounted and I need help figuring it out. Ive seen the mini 9 guide for internal usb.

-a type of ready boost in the same location

Note that I havent taken it apart since ive only had it for about 3 days.

Based on that, is there enough room internally for these 2 features?

Im under the assumption I would need to create a usb hub internally or rewire 2 of the existing connections to allow these 2 devices. And the bigger issue is would I be able to disable the gps without hooking up a physical switch.

For the people that said you can watch Youtube HD, please provide links as I can not view any. Im even running GmaBooster 400mhz and still choppy.

Offtopic note, this screen sucks.

Based on the fact that a handful or more have viewed this and not said anything, is there a forum where I can go to with useful information? This is obviously not the place to mod my dell mini (interesting...)

Internally mounting a gps in a Mini 10v is not one of the more common, or easily executed 'modifications', so I would guess that no one who has either tried it, or can offer any constructive help, has actually read your post yet, the title of which wouldn't necessarily encourage them to do so either!

This is actually a great forum, and is probably the best one around for information and exchanges of thoughts and ideas on the Dell Mini range, but if you think you can find anywhere bettter, then Google is your friend!

Have a nice day!

It amazes me that the title of the thread would be enough for someone to justify ignoring the topic of discussion. Juvenile but not that important.

I figured instead of tearing this apart in search of a lack of space for devices, i would seek help here. Could be pointless since there is a possibility that people wont "want" to help me.

Basic shape of the devices need to match the FM transmitter that accompanies this mouse.

I would need a gps and a 8-16gb flash drive.

So anyone have some ideas or do I just talk to myself and delete my forum account?

Edit: Forgot to mention that I have been looking obviously and the closest options I can find are:
This for a gps. Although I cant seem to confirm that it works outside of PPC.

This for a usb drive.

My "personal" issue with these 2 is that they can and will snag on objects, i.e. clothes. On top of the sdio gps that doesnt even work on windows at the moment.

The title of the thread lends no clue to the contents or type of assistance you are looking for.

I recommend retitling your thread and posting it in the 10 mods threads.

Kudos to Montala for above-and-beyond.

Thats like walking next to a person on the ground and not acknowledging them because they dont "appear" to be hurt or in need of it.

Last I checked I was in the Mini 10v sub forum and I own a mini 10v, not a mini 10. Although similar not exact.

Your analogy is as obtuse and irrelevant as your thread title and then you complain about no responses 2 hours after you post. You think people might not want to help you? With your wonderful attitude? They'll be lining up to post and send you PMs.

Deleting your account if you are that unhappy here, might just be in every bodies best interest...all though you are welcome if you would display a little patience (some of us actually have jobs and can not just answer questions all day) and maybe post correctly and with no animosity..maybe someone might help you....

Have a Nice Day Anyway........

That would be just perfect, could a mod delete and ban my account. I would have liked to share my experience, but since I'm the only open one it should stay that way.

How could a mod ban your account after they delete it? It's not needed anyway, just don't login. Better yet, start your second, and last, thread with the Subject of 'Goodbye'.
