Default What kind of S Video cable do I need for a Dell mini 10v? - 10-23-2009, 09:46 PM

I got a standard S Video cable and the plug doesn't fit any of the inputs on my laptop. Does anyone know where I can get one that works with my mini? Thanks.

You will need a VGA - to - "Name Your Input" cable. The port is on the right in between the USB and Ethernet "phone jack".

Yeah I figured that has the port; do you know where I can find the cable you are talking about? =]

What do you want to connect to the other end of the cable?

One of these
6 Foot, 1.8 Meter HDMI to DVI-D Cable
and one of these
DVI-I Female to VGA Male Adapter
Providing you want to go HDMI, or if your TV has a PC input you could do something different.

That's not going to work. VGA is an analog signal. HDMI is a digital video interface.

OP, if your "flat screen" (assuming it's a tv) does NOT have vga input, you might need one of these. <---- (edit) CLICK HERE

Check the link in my last post (click the link).

If your tv does not have VGA input, then you'll need some kind of adapter.
