Default switching bluetooth off? - 10-19-2009, 05:43 PM

is there a way to switch off bluetooth when i dont need it?
(10v osx 10.6.1)

yes, if you bring up the bluetooth there is an option to turn off bluetooth radio..that will do it..

thanks for the answer. couldn't try yet but there is also the option to switch off bluetooth on system start in the bios.

If you've installed the Dell Battery Meter/Wireless Select Switch (R232390) and Dell Wireless Enable/Disable (R229452) for Windows XP (should only need to install the later one, just for sure), or Dell Battery Meter/Wireless Select Switch (R232390) for Windows 7, then you can use function keys to switch on/off the bluetooth in Windows system.
PS: The drivers can be easily found online from Dell Support.


mini 10 (1010, AU)|1GB RAM|160GB HDD|BlueTooth|DVB-T|GMA 500|1024x576

Inspiron 1300n|1GB RAM|60GB HDD|DVD+RW|GMA 900|1280x800

Both run with Windows XP Home SP3 + Windows 7 Ultimate RC dual-OS.

that may be true, but its too much hassle to toggle it back it forth....no need to reboot all the time...the other way requires no rebooting....
