3 cell battery more expensive than 6 cell?? - 10-03-2009, 05:27 PM
Just ordered my 10v from USA (i live in South Africa) and it only comes with a 6 cell battery. I don't know if I'll like the large battery but I sure will like the battery life. I went to the dell website and I can but batteries for the Inspiron Mini 10v CTO - is this "CTO" exactly the same as a normal 10v?
Also the 3 cell is roughly $90 (http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna...&sku=451-11094)
whereas the 6 cell battery is $60 (http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna...&sku=451-11095).
1.) Why would the 3 cell be more expensive?
2.) If i buy a 3 cell and use it mainly, how often should i use the 6 cell to keep it in good condition?

Interesting because here in the UK the 6-cell costs £99 ($157 US) or 1203 ZAR Dell - Search - All Dell.com
& the 3-cell costs £69 ($109 US) http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna...&sku=451-11094

In the states the 6-cell costs $149:
56 WHr 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery for Dell Inspiron Mini 10v
and the 3-cell costs $129:
24 WHr 3-cell Lithium-Ion Battery for Dell Inspiron Mini 10v
You'd be getting a bargain!
