Default ISO to USB? - 10-02-2009, 03:43 PM

What software do you all use to get your iso onto your usb flash drives? Ive got to get the XP install disk onto one to reinstall tonight. I have iso magic but it seems to take forever to copy across.

Install Win 7 via USB in 4 easy steps

Try that how-to above. I know its for Win7, but I am going to assume that XP might work the same. When I created my USB boot CD, I copied the bootmgr file and renamed it NTLDR, so both file existed.

Now you do have to search for the HP Flash util v2.0.6, I haven't found anything that would make the usb key boot correctly, even new verions or older versions of that same program. YOU HAVE TO USE v2.0.6

I managed get the file HP Flash util v2.0.6 from this link as it seems the original link posted in that other thread is dead.
