Default 16 GB Solid State vs 160 GB question - 09-27-2009, 03:29 PM

Is the 16GB Solid State really that much faster than 160GB hard drive with the Dell Mini V.? I dont need a lot of storage

To me the speed and storage isn't a selling point but the fact that the ssd makes the mechine have no moving parts. To me that's where the appeal of the mini's come in.

Personally if all I was doing was surfing, email, some small docs and youtube I would stick with the SSD drive. If you ever need media, music or movies, bring a portable 2.5 500GB drive that is self powered.
