My computer is having a weird power cord vs battery problem.
If I boot up with just battery power it runs fine, I can go to standby, resume... everything working great, however if I plug in power cord, it will keep running fine, but shortly (usually within 5 seconds) after pulling the power cord out to run on battery, the power/battery meter does not change from power cord to battery, & the system crashes off completely.
Same if I boot up with power cord plugged in, it will run fine, but once I pull out the cord, it will crash...
Any ideas? The dell tech thought the motherboard may have to be replaced..
-- I have tried, new battery from different Mini 10, different power adapter, same thing, so its not a battery or adapter error.
Also previous to the Dell tech recommendation a new motherboard, they recommended a new harddrive, which has already been installed.
Does this definitely sound like hardware or possibly software?
All this on a 1 week old netbook!
