Default Samsung UM410 SSD - Should I Upgrade? - 09-16-2009, 06:21 AM

I was able to score a new mini 10v with the n280, 1GB, 16GB SSD, Wireless N and Bluetooth for 300 and am was thinking I would get an OCZ Vertex. But does the Vertex perform that much better on this chipset?

CrystaDisklMark 2.2

Seq Read 78
Seq Write 46
512k Read 76
512k Write 42
4k Read 14
4k Write 2

Can someone whom has upgraded their SSD to a third party or aftermarket run their CrystalDiskMark 2.2 and show results? I'm curious if I'll hit the Sata I maximum with a different drive or 2x the speed.

Search on this forum for "CrystalDiskMark" and you will find a number of posts on this - I certainly achieved higher sequential read speeds with a Silicon Power SSD (but slower in other areas):
