I had the same problem, although with everything, esp web browsers and Office (I'm on XP), and since I got my mini 10 I've had the resolution set to 1024x768, just so I could get more on the screen, even though everything was severely squished.

I've now set the resolution back to 1024x576 and changed the DPI and it's much better.

I just happened to see this thread today because I was getting fed up with the screen and considered buying a new monitor.
