Default Manual removal of trackpad - 09-05-2009, 06:18 PM

Hi all,

First off I have searched & found various ways but not really what I'm after.

I've installed SL & everything works fine (besides deepsleep) though the trackpad is so wacky that it's non functional.

To get all working the way I wanted (sleep, restart, sound upon wakeup etc) I manually installed this that & the other so can't just use NBI to remove the touchpad drivers & try another one (V17 worked best for me on 10.5.8) as it will mess up my install.
So what I'd like to do is manually remove all traces of the current trackpad then install the V17 ones if possible via the CLI.

Anyone know exactly what I should remove or the best way to get round this?
