Hey.

So im wondering, can i upgrade from Windows 7 RT to Windows 7 (final copy in october) without losing files or anything? thanks

What do you mean RT? If you mean RC, which is a release client, yes and no. You can but need to extract the iso file, modify the cversion.ini file and then upgrade by running the extracted setup file

If you mean RTM, I believe that is the final build that is released to market. If you have that, it is what will be coming out in October

Also, if you are upgrading from RC1 to the final RTM, you need to upgrade to the Ultimate version since the RC releases were all Ultimate builds. You can't upgrade to anything other than that.

Yep. Eventually I'll be fully running RTM on mine, and it works beautifully. I'm having issues with my dualboot configuration that I'm trying to sort through though, so it's not currently running yet, but it was last night.

im following this guide: Install Windows 7 From USB Drive/Pen Drive to format my 8GB usb and install windows 7 rtm ultimate. is your rtm activated?
