Default Alt keys acting like Fn keys - 08-31-2009, 01:37 AM

I use Alt+F4 to close Windows all the time. However, I just got my Mini and when I try to use Alt+F4 to close a Window, it dims the screen - something it should only do when I press Fn+F4.

None of the Alt keys work, they all perform their Fn function instead. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a solution?

1. In your current configuration, you can press Alt+Fn+F4 (which is actually Alt + F4).

2. If you want to change your configuration so that the Function keys are used for Function keys and not the Media keys... then reboot your Mini, go into the BIOS and change the settings for the default behavior Then you can do Alt + F4 without needing to press Fn
